I've never been the type to rock the urban casual look but I picked up a "Superdry JPN" jacket at my friend's store last night that was definitely sporty but had this funky edge to it.  The zipper placement, inconspicuously embroidered logo and knit collar had me at hello.  I have always loved the racer/bomber style jacket.  It's definitely warm and utterly comfortable.
