Gawker posted this great article on how the past decade is over saturated with lies, fake everything from religion to reality tv and the meaning of "celebrity".  I thought this complex idea of "fakeness" was interesting because it would appear that everyone on Myspace, Facebook and Twitter hate fake people, yet post mis-leading and self indulgent photos, while hiding their true persona behind a monitor.  My biggest gripe is how openly and easily we adopt this "fake culture" where reality tv stars are like movie stars and where lip syncing artists such as Britney Spears succeed further than real talented artists who actually sing and write their own music.
