I was one of the individuals who had a Blackberry that for 8 hours, was just a phone.  It made calls, texted messages and nothing more.  I always have this withdrawal fear that if my smart phone were ever to leave me I'd go nuts and somehow self implode from lack of stimulation.  My excuse?  I blog from my phone, work from my phone, keep in touch via phone and keep life manageable via phone.  So it was quite the surprise when it was 2 hours into the Blackberry network being down and I didn't even notice that I haven't received a bbm from anyone.  I always have my pc or my netbook so perhaps it was a good thing to be disconnected for a few hours.
