My favorite type of anthems are the ones that empower the underdog, give the wronged a little bit of justice, and of course fuel the blood with a little fire with electrifying guitar rifts, pulsing baselines and soul gripping vocals.
I've been slow to update because my life is undergoing a retrofitting effort, and it's a trying process. I've been focusing more on my work and specifically my art, and to infuse more creativity, the guitar has moved from being under my bed, to now beside my bed. Do I make music? Not quite, a little bit of noise, some familiar chords and lots of @*^%(*@^%(*%^.
About my choice for the song of the day. I like to post songs, that aren't just personal trends, but rather my life's soundtracks throughout various paths. On my days of uphill battles and feelings of disenchantment, I like to listen to this song and revel in its comforting truths and imagine myself singing robustly on an empty stage, ripping out my heart and holding it out there for no one to see. haha ok not that dramatic, but My Chemical Romance always provides me with the type of outlet I need to fuel creativity, silently scream and draw personal inspiration to climb mountains.
Lyrics:
Well I was there on the day
They sold the cause for the queen,
And when the lights all went out
We watched our lives on the screen.
I hate the ending myself,
But it started with an alright scene.
It was the roar of the crowd
That gave me heartache to sing.
It was a lie when they smiled
And said, "you won't feel a thing"
And as we ran from the cops
We laughed so hard, it would sting
Yeah yeah, oh
If I'm so wrong (so wrong, so wrong)
How can you listen all night long? (night long, night long)
Now will it matter after I'm gone?
Because you never learn a goddamned thing.
You're just a sad song with nothing to say
About a life long wait for a hospital stay
And if you think that I'm wrong,
This never meant nothing to you
I spent my high school career
Spit on and shoved to agree
So I could watch all my heroes
Sell a car on tv
Bring out the old guillotine
We'll show 'em what we all mean.
Yeah yeah, oh
If I'm so wrong (so wrong, so wrong)
How can you listen all night long? (night long, night long)
Now will it matter long after I'm gone?
Because you never learn a goddamned thing.
You're just a sad song with nothing to say
About a life long wait for a hospital stay
And if you think that I'm wrong,
This never meant nothing to ya
So go, go away, just go, run, run away.
But where did you run to? And where did you hide?
Go find another way, price you pay
Woah, Woah, Woah, Woah, Woah, Woah
You're just a sad song with nothing to say
About a life long wait for a hospital stay
And if you think that I'm wrong,
This never meant nothing to ya, come on
You're just a sad song with nothing to say
About a life long wait for a hospital stay
And if you think that I'm wrong,
This never meant nothing to you
