Jewelmint Up Close and Personal

There's no denying that we're living in an age where the biggest players in the fashion industry are those that provide pocket friendly tangibles, or as some may call it, fast fashion.  While stores like H&M and Forever 21 can provide a massive quantity of desirability at an affordable cost, and are perfect for finding those must have gems that are otherwise unattainable, I have often felt that fast fashion lacks that special buying experience that one gets from smaller or higher end stores.

Buying clothing, accessories and even groceries, are all such visceral experiences, that I feel people often forget how important our social relationships are with the stores we interact with.

How my florist remembers that I love Garbera daisies; How the gentleman at Hermes remembers how long I've desired a certain cuff; How the Chef at Au Revoir or server at Crustacean remembers how I can't have cheese; How your local Starbucks barista knows how you like your coffee. These are the personal reasons why patrons stay loyal.

With that being said, I think once in a while there are those that base their business on being able to reach a diverse group of individuals, while still developing and maintaining personal relationships.

Last year I was turned onto a new jewelry line called Jewelmint who's pieces are designed by Kate Bosworth and Cher Coulter.  While I rarely support celebrity endorsed lines, there was something wonderfully different and charming about this company and its shoppers.
Over the past year, I've gotten to know the people behind the company, the people who shop with the company and after attending their fashion event yesterday in L.A, I've also learned they know a lot about me as well >_<

Cher often posts on her personal page and on the Jewelmint page, answering style questions, showing sketches of designs and even getting input from the people who wear her designs.

Meeting Cher, the style team and other Jewelmint fans, was an incredible experience.  I'm still astounded as to  how something so spectacular could organically develop through an e-commerce store and community page.

Despite being in traffic for almost 4 hours and barely making it, the night was so worth it.

Here are some of my favorite moments from the L.A Pop Up Shop event.

I <3 her.

An up close look at the New Wave armor ring coming out in August. Burberry, Vivienne Westwood, this one has my heart.

Satine is such a charming boutique. I was aching for those orange Balenciaga sandals

A thoughtful gift from Cher, right off her hand. It's cherished and will never be forgotten <3
